海浪、白云、渔船和船员构成了林祥雄独特的艺术世界的特点。他是一位旅居新加坡的中国画家，在海外华人中作为一位杰出画家、企业家和社会活动家而名闻遐迩。

　　林祥雄1945年出生于中国广东省，1956年移居新加坡，开始了自己的职业生涯。自1968年起，他已在中国、新加坡和很多其他国家举办了十几场画展。

　　在保持中国水墨画传统的同时，他借鉴了西方艺术理念和技巧的精华。其画品表现了他对大自然和一切生物的深深的爱。在他的绘画中，可以看到对“天人合一”这一古老中国理念的具体体现。评论认为他的绘画是现实主义和抽象主义的完美结合。线条虽然飘忽不定，但是非常流畅。色彩生动，能够以假乱真。

　　作为一名社会活动家，林祥雄为推动中国和新加坡以及东西方之间的艺术交流作了大量工作。作为一名成功的企业家，他向中国欠发达地区的十几所小学提供了赞助，作为“希望工程”的一部分。

A wave to nature

　　Waves, white clouds, fishing boats and their crews characterize the unique world of Lin Xiang Xiong's art. A Chinese artist living in Singapore, Lin has established a good reputation among overseas Chinese as an outstanding painter, entrepreneur and social activist.

　　Born in 1945 in China's Guangdong Province, Lin moved to Singapore in 1956 and began his career. Starting in 1968, he has held dozens of exhibitions in China, Singapore, and many other countries.

　　While maintaining the tradition of Chinese ink painting, Lin borrows the best from Western art concepts and techniques. Lin's paintings express his profound love of nature and all living things. In his paintings, one can see an incarnation of the ancient Chinese philosophy of "man and nature as one." Critics hold that Lin's paintings are a harmonious combination of realism and abstractionism. The lines are erratic yet fluent. The colours are vivid and beguiling.

　　As a social activist, Lin has done a lot to promote artistic exchanges between China and Singapore and between East and West. A successful entrepreneur, Lin has helped dozens of primary schools in China's less developed areas as part of the "Hope Project."
